Karen Recommends

SACO Bath Apartment's Manger - Karen Sheppard has lived in Bath for over 5 years and recommendations:
1 Day in Bath
"I recommend a visit to the Southgate shopping centre which houses - All Saints, Cult, H&M, Karen Millen, Kurt Geiger, Tommy Hilfiger and many many more, this modern yet compact complex will satisfy all your shopping needs.
Then rest your legs at Thermae Bath Spa, the spa never fails to make me feel incredibly relaxed, rested and recharged (and is a lovely pick me up in the cold winter weather!)
For food, I recommend Martini Ristorante, Bath's favourite family run Italian restaurant, it will leave you feeling comfortably full and ready for bed after a great day!"
A few days in Bath
"I strongly recommend you look at the local landmarks that Bath is so famous for. Jump on a tour bus or take a stroll to the Roman Baths, Pump Rooms, the Circus and Royal Crescent. Take advantage of a peaceful riverboat cruise along the River Avon which stops at many canalside pubs for a spot of lunch. I would also recommend a visit to one of the great museums in Bath and to the world famous Sally Lunns where you can visit the historic kitchens in which the Bath bun was originally created.
Try out Komedia comedy club, which offers many famous and upcoming acts performing one off shows and cabaret nights. If you fancy laughter in a different form why not try the Bizarre Bath walk, a comedy walking tour now in its 20th year."

"Bath is just beautiful for walking and pottering about, especially in the gorgeous weather and a picnic in Victoria Park by the Royal Crescent is a must.
Take advantage of the free walking tours by the Honorary Mayor Guides at 10.30am and 2pm outside the pump room - very informative, interesting and FREE!
Enjoy High tea at the pump room it’s a special treat."
