What’s on in Bath Summer 2017
With so many historic buildings, thermal spas and Georgian terraces, Bath is one of the most desirable addresses in the whole of UK. Its English charm pulls visitors from all over the world everyday, making it understandable why Bath hosts such amazing events throughout the summer.
Good people drink good cocktails…
A Sumptuous Summer
19th July – 31st August, Bath, The Pump Room Restaurant
There’s nothing quite like taking full advantage of those midsummer evenings with a luxurious dinner, cocktail and live music - especially at The Pump Room Restaurant, crowned third by Bath Magazine in their article ‘Six of the Best Places for Afternoon Tea.’ The Pump Room has finally heard our prayers and blessed us with staying open till late, and serving food until 9pm every evening until 31st August. Alongside the arrangement of different bands and live music lined up to play, The Pump Room has also decided to do a very generous dinner time deal (much to our advantage). The usual mains range from £12.50 - £24.75, however until 31st August, The Pump Room has officially released their Sumptuous Summer Deal! You can select any light bite or main from the menu alongside a refreshing summer cocktail for only £17.95! A fine dining bargain.
Torches illuminating the world…
Torchlight Summer Evenings
17th June – 31st August, Bath, The Roman Baths
We personally couldn’t think of anything prettier than Bath lit up by torches and candles. But an opportunity to walk on two-thousand year old pavements, see Roman artefacts and witness a natural steaming bath by the flicker of a candle? Certainly an unmissable, unique and unforgettable experience. Due to this venture being so popular last year, The Roman Bath late nights has been opened two weeks earlier and until later (10pm), with the reduced price of £15 (no booking in advance required).
Can’t help but dance…
Bath Folk Festival
12th – 20th August, Bath, Central Bath
Like no other, Bath breaks the traditional field-based folk festival by spreading its wings and getting different venues to host varied concerts, dances and workshops. The whole city is going to be blessed with traditional music, dance and storytelling from every direction! Finally, a festival we won’t need our wellies for! Of course, Bath museums, restaurants and attractions will still be open to take full advantage of whilst you’re there, a perfect opportunity to explore Bath’s World Heritage title. Bath Folk Festival has also recently opened up its own training program involving world-class tutors, helping and encouraging anyone and everyone to take part in this celebration and perhaps even explore their talents.
Time to dress to impress…
19th August, Bath, Bath Racecourse, Lansdown
Although this is a day for the ladies, gents are welcome too…
This is definitely one for your diary - the social highlight is finally round the corner. Chic outfits, decorative hats, gorgeous food and drink, and of course, exciting racing to guarantee you and your friends the day to remember. Wait, what’s that? Ladies and gents can also enter a Best Dressed Competition and win up to £1000? Count us in! Seven guaranteed races, amazing prizes to be won, exclusive roof top bars and the option of being served privately – prices range from £12.00 - £125.00. It’s safe to say Bath’s racecourse is one of the most picturesque in England, with green fields and decorative flowers. A fun, inexpensive, family (and friend) friendly day - exactly what we want during summer.
Food! Glorious food!...
Great Bath Feast

This is definitely, without a doubt, the reason to visit and explore Bath this summer. Celebrating its fifth birthday, Great Bath Feast is back giving praises and awards to the very best, most mouth-watering flavours and tastes that the city has to offer. Local producers and passionate artists, all hard at work to perfect their cuisines in order to win the heart of Bath.
