SEEK AND WIN NEW BUSINESS
Identify new prospects and develop into business
-Use the SACO database to identify prospects and set up meetings with decision makers
-Follow up leads from reservations team
-Attend exhibitions, business events and conferences and follow up leads
-Attend networking events and build strong personal networks
-Build relationships with existing clients to generate recommendations and new leads
-Work closely with the marketing team on regional and national initiatives where appropriate
-Draw up proposals/preferred supplier agreements and negotiate rates within the SACO levels of authority
-Set up accounts
-Agree terms with clients
-Complete all internal processes to ensure the account is correctly setup within SACO, to include:
Advising reservations team
Advising accounts/finance team
Handing over to account management team
MANAGE ONGOING GENERAL BUSINESS ACTIVITY THAT DOES NOT SIT WITH THE ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT TEAM
-Build strong relationships with existing clients to maximise revenue and profitability
-Contact on a regular basis to identify next business opportunities maximise revenue and occupancy
-Ensure that any problems relating to the business are resolved quickly by working closely with the client and the SACO reservation team
OPERATIONS / GUEST RELATIONS
-Work closely with the regional and central operations team to ensure that feedback from clients regarding their stays is dealt with in an appropriate and timely manner.
-Carry out viewings of apartments/conduct booker events where required, keeping on site and /or head office operations team updated on planned visits
INTERNAL SYSTEMS
-Ensure that internal databases are kept up-to-date with accurate and relevant information held on records
-Produce sales activity reports on a weekly basis or as required
-Be able to produce relevant management information from internal systems to support reporting and account management
-Competent use of software packages such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel to support sales presentations and reporting

EXPERIENCE
-Previous experience in a hotel or serviced apartment new business sales role
-Knowledge/ database of London and London based corporate clients
-Knowledge of Canary Wharf area/ based clients, an advantage
-Driving License preferable
LOCATION
London based, but travel required across the UK and at times worldwide.
