Meet Splodge, the latest recruit at SACO.
To celebrate Bristol Zoo’s 175th birthday, artists decorated life-size gorillas which were sponsored by local businesses and then located around the city for 10 weeks between 6th July and 6th September. The Wow! Gorillas brought a world class mass public art event to the streets and parks of Bristol over the summer.
On 29th September, over 60 gorillas were auctioned in central Bristol to raise urgent funds for the Bristol Zoo Garden's gorilla projects and Wallace and Gromit’s Grand appeal. SACO is thrilled to have participated in the auction and to announce the new arrival of Splodge. An astounding £427,300 was raised at the Wow! Gorillas auction.
