Eden Locke launches on saleWednesday 22 February 2017 by Sarah Knight Second Locke aparthotel to open in Edinburgh in June.
Eden Locke, the second of the Locke lifestyle aparthotels originally launched by SACO in 2016, goes on sale today.
Eden Locke, which is located on George Street in the heart of central Edinburgh, opens in June. It will offer a choice of 72 studios and suites with signature views onto George Street and across Edinburgh rooftops to the Firth of Forth.
Many of the ground and lower ground floor studios have access to shared enclosed outdoor terraces. All studios and suites will have the acclaimed design-led Locke look and feel including the Locke signature L shaped sofa.
The building blends Locke’s distinctive design with its original heritage. Its classic Georgian façade has been restored and period features retained whilst evolving the former office into a destination that meets the needs of today’s traveller.
The spacious Lobby Bar Hyde & Son, like its predecessor at Leman Locke in London, Treves & Hyde, will function as a third wave coffee lounge by day and artisan bar by night.
Spearheaded by one of the UK's foremost coffee aficionados James Wise, Hyde & Son aims to be Edinburgh's social epicentre where like-minded locals and travellers can meet.
Located next door to Tigerlily on George Street, Eden Locke is located on one of Edinburgh’s retail destinations, set in the heart of the New Town. Designated a world UNESCO site, George Street offers an expansive array of restaurants, bars, cafes and boutique shops with Edinburgh Castle and many other attractions just a short walk away.
Eden Locke is also situated within easy reach of many of Edinburgh’s major business areas, and is designed to meet the needs of its fast-growing corporate travel market which spans the city’s traditional industries such as finance and emerging ones including tech and creative.
Eric Jafari, Managing Director of SACO Property Group who is leading the development of the Locke brand, added: “We eagerly anticipate the opening of Eden Locke in June as it will mark the evolution of Locke brand, reflecting elements of the local fabric in its identity and design.
“We are grateful that Leman Locke, our first Locke property, has been so widely well received. We knew that we were creating something unique when embarking on our ambitious journey to merge what we believed to be the best of lifestyle hotels and serviced apartments, and the performance to date has significantly exceeded our expectations.
“We can't wait to see how Eden Locke will perform, especially since it is so different to other hospitality offerings in the city."
SACO created the Locke for travellers who want to experience the unique and authentic wherever they are. Locke combines the best aspects of boutique hotels and serviced apartments to deliver an enhanced new and socially immersive concept that meets the needs of today’s business traveller.
The first Locke property, Leman Locke, opened on London’s Leman Street in Aldgate in October 2016.
Earlier today, SACO announced a major expansion to its portfolio of properties including new Locke properties in Manchester and Dublin, and an annex to Leman Locke on Buckle Street in London.
