Farnborough’s been part of aviation history since the very beginning and was home to the very first airfield in the UK, where the first powered flight took place in 1908. Quite a claim to fame! Farnborough has stayed true to its heritage, and even to this day is place well-known for coming up with new advances in the science of flying.
