International roll out of the ASAP Quality AssessmentWednesday 22 April 2015 by Craig Neilson We are delighted to be part of the groundswell of interest and enthusiasm regarding The Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP) Quality Assessment programme.
SACO is a long standing advocate of quality assessment schemes as a way to benchmark, validate and drive standards in the Serviced Apartment industry and is well-placed to position the benefits of the new scheme based on its breadth and volume of partners and commitment to having SACO managed locations assessed.
Seven of SACO’s own apartment locations have recently been assessed under the ASAP’s quality scheme, with them all receiving good or excellent scores with the average score being over 80%.
SACO is also pleased to be providing an experienced member of their operational team for the new ASAP working party being set up to further clarify and establish the Quality Assessment (QA) scheme.
Whilst the new ASAP programme gains momentum, SACO continues to use the Visit Britain, Quality in Tourism scheme to grade and assess their aparthotels. During 2014 six locations were graded, each achieving Four Star status and four of the six also received Gold Star status. This is the eighth year running that SACO has had the standards of its own apartments assessed.
