London’s most Instagrammable cocktail bars

Wednesday 20 March 2019 by Kayleigh Little London is widely known for its vibrant and exciting nightlife which is consistently present across the city from Croydon right the way to Camden. The wide array of cocktail bars on offer aren’t to be missed, especially if you’re looking to spruce up your Instagram feed. Wherever you choose just make sure you come prepared with a camera as we’ve boiled down The City’s most fashionable watering holes.

Annabel’s

46 Berkeley Square, London, W1J 5AT

After undergoing a jaw-dropping £65m refurb to integrate the work of interior designer Martin Brudnizki, one of London’s best known clubs is almost unrecognisable from its former self. The walls are completely adorned with breath-taking artwork making them look almost biblical and even the toilets (sorry, ‘Powder Rooms’) are decorated with floral murals and elegant décor. Annabel’s completely defines London glamour from its glass ceilings and carpets of silk roses, to the decorative gold swans and pink onyx carved washbasins.

Dripping from floor to ceiling in couture that Anna Wintour herself would be jealous of, it’s not hard to see why this is a massive hotspot for many local celebrities. If it’s the stunning interiors you want to take pictures of, you might struggle trying to find a space someone isn’t already posing in front of – it is arguably London’s most prestigious venue after all.

Sketch

9 Conduit St, Mayfair, London, W1S 2XG

Whether you live in London or you’ve never even stepped foot in the radius of The City, you must be living under a rock (or at least, not have an Instagram account) if you haven’t heard of Sketch. Quite possibly the prettiest restaurant turn cocktail bar in London, Sketch is a magical fortress of hot pink sofas and David Shrigley artwork all enveloped in breath-taking pastel décor and beautiful murals.

The venue itself is made up of four separate restaurants, each carrying its own menu and jaw-dropping design. The separate rooms are each set around a particular theme, from The Glade which depicts a mythical forest to The Lecture Room which offers a seven-course tasting menu in a sunset surrounding. Oh, and if you’re looking for the best selfie spot then head to the bathroom as the futuristic space pods (also fully-functioning loos) are a big hit with the Instagram world.

Sky Garden

20 Fenchurch St, London, EC3M 8AF

If you love The City of London, you’ll be completely in awe at the unique view of it you’ll receive if you opt for a drink or two at Sky Garden. Effectively a giant skyscraper offering stunning panoramic views and an impressive indoor garden, this rooftop bar is not one to miss.

Notably one of the highest urban gardens in the city, this is the perfect venue to snap a couple of pictures either inside with the light flooding through the magnificent windows, or outside in the fresh air of the open terrace. Whether you’re looking for brunch, breakfast or simply just a cocktail, we wouldn’t recommend it if you have a fear of heights.

SUSHISAMBA

110 Bishopsgate, London, EC2N 4AY35 T

he Market Building, Covent Garden, London, WC2E 8RF

Combining the best flavours from Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine, SUSHISAMBA is well-known for the suave decadence and cultural charm that oozes out of its Instagram hashtag.

Offering unique and delicious culinary delights during the day, and a highly sophisticated social venue in the evening, it won’t take you long to realise why it’s so loved by social media fanatics. There are two locations in London to choose from which might leave you spoiled for choice, one in Bishopsgate and one in Covent Garden. Both extremely Instagrammable, nonetheless. Don’t like sushi? Not to worry – there’s a huge range of exotic cocktails to choose from instead. Bon appetite!

Coppa Club

3 Three Quays Walk, Lower Thames Street, London, EC3R 6AH

Coppa Club is vastly different from the majority of London’s private members clubs, whereby there is no dress code, no membership fee and a lax ‘no rules’ approach, making it the perfect place to chill out with a camera and a cocktail. Looking for something a bit more unique? Head outside and dine in one of their iconic glass igloos overlooking Tower Bridge – now that’s got to be Instagram worthy!

Despite the cosy ‘make yourself at home’ atmosphere, this venue is a popular hotspot for business meetings and out of office working, so don’t be tempted to rock up in your PJs. Put it this way - you’ll want to make sure you’re wearing your best dress when you visit.
