Remember, remember the 5th November

Friday 03 November 2017 by Jessica Mendoza Ah, bonfire night. The time for incredible light displays, your first glass of mulled wine of the year and other tasty treats, and all thanks to the incredible Guy Fawkes story. We couldn’t be more excited to see the festive season begin (yes, 1st November is the beginning of the Christmas countdown… at SACO) so here’s our list of the top five cities to enjoy bonfire night in:

Edinburgh’s annual fireworks display at Meadowbank has been marking the occasion for over 30 years. A spectacular event for the whole family, this year's theme is sci-fi - so make sure to hunt out your most lavish Star Wars or Marvel costumes for the evening.

'Sparks in the Park', as it is most famously known, is the biggest Bonfire Night event not just in Cardiff but in the whole of Wales. It has been running for over 30 years at Blackweir Fields and following last year's sell-out success, all proceeds this year will be donated to charity. Don’t miss out!

A Night at the Movies theme for 2017, the impressive 20 minute display will feature quotes and soundtracks from movie classics. There's also live entertainment and over 20 mouth-watering food stalls. Taking place in Brockwell Park from 5 - 10pm.
