Teenage Cancer Trust - 'Guess The Toddler'

SACO has been raising funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust since May 2013 and, to date, has generated in excess of £17,000 for the charity with fundraising activities including members of the SACO team running the Bristol 10k, holding raffles at summer and Christmas parties and, most recently, cooking up a storm with a ‘great SACO bake off’.

This week, to coincide with the charity’s awareness week, the SACO team will be holding a fundraising ‘Guess The Toddler’ competition to raise awareness of cancer in young people.  

TCT’s awareness week has the objective of encouraging 13 – 24 year olds to learn the five main signs and symptoms of cancer in young people and, if you haven’t done so before, this is the perfect time to get involved with the charity, fundraise and have fun along the way.

"Currently, for every young person with cancer that we can help, there is another that we can’t. Those young people are facing cancer alone, frightened and isolated. Teenage Cancer Trust needs to be there for every single young person and the support of SACO is helpings us get one step close to this goal. By supporting our South West Appeal they have helped us provide the regions first specialist unit for young people with cancer. This unit is helping to give young people aged 13 – 24 across the South West a better chance of a positive outcome from cancer. We are so grateful for the time and effort that SACO have put into their fundraising and we really appreciate their continued support as we aim to be there for every single young person who needs us. We cannot do this without our supporters. Thank you SACO.’’
