The Tate ModernFriday 01 January 2010 by Sam Moore The Tate Modern on the banks of the river Thames in the old factory.
Arrive into the Tate Modern and be blown away by the scale of the gallery and the exhibitions they are able to hold.
The main galleries are free and spread out over several floors. There is also a café for those wanting to rejuvenate, as well as an extensive bookshop stocking a huge variety of books of arts and art culture.
The temporary exhibitions are often of high renown, and are also very popular, so you may want to book ahead to avoid queues!
Why not make a day of it, and hop across the river and visit the Tate Britain?
