To make life even easier for you, we’ve chosen our favourite family activity for each location to give you a head start! So no excuses for not going away this Easter holiday!
Bath is famous for its Roman Baths, the Royal Crescent and Jane Austin. It is an incredibly children-friendly city, with many pedestrianised streets and a plethora of cafes to pop into when you need to rest your feet (and they need a hot chocolate!) making it the perfect destination for a family break.
There’s loads going on in Birmingham for families and our apartments are perfectly located to access them all. We’re a three minute walk from the National Sea Life Centre where you can touch a starfish, feed the penguins and be amazed by Nemo’s Kingdom.
Bristol Zoo is a bus ride from our Broad Quay apartments and is situated on the downs, perfect for a game of Frisbee, or just a walk and an icecream! They’ve got lots of Easter themed events going on, including an Easter-egg hunt with prizes for the kids.
On such a small island, there’s no excuse not to try a different beach every day! And if the weather’s bad, St Helier is filled with museums and things to do! We particularly recommend St Brelade’s beach!
A twenty minute walk, or 10 minutes on the bus, MOSI always has something exciting going on, and a range of exhibitions suitable for all age ranges! With 3D printing, experiment stations, a 4D theatre and more, this is the perfect destination for a day out!
You couldn’t go to Nottingham without spending some time learning about Robin Hood! Nottingham Castle doubles up as the city’s art gallery and museum, and with a fantastic restaurant on site too, it’s a great destination for a family day out.
The British Museum has one of the largest and most comprehensive collections in the world, covering the story of human culture from its beginnings to the present day. With weekly family events, three eateries, and a range of changing exhibitions, the British Museum will keep you (and perhaps more importantly the kids) entertained for the whole day!
Mudchute Park and Farm is a working farm, children’s nursery and charity set in 32 acres of countryside in the heart of East London, less than a 20 minute walk from our SACO Canary Wharf – Trinity Tower apartments. It is one of the largest inner City Farms in Europe, and with over 100 animals, and a café serving up delicious home-cooked food, this is the perfect day out for the whole family.
With London Bridge on your doorstep, a stroll along the Southbank will provide endless options for activities with the kids. Whether you’re buying some tasty goodies in Borough market, stopping at the Tate Modern, or popping into the Southbank Centre the Southbank is the perfect place to spend the day.
