Wicked – Birmingham Hippodrome

April 4th - 29th

Wicked, a fairy tale plot twist of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, has won over 100 international awards and continues to break records at London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre. It tells the story of an unlikely but profound friendship between two young women who first meet as sorcery students and go on to fulfil their destinies as Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West. Piranha Tunnel – Sea Life Centre, Brindleyplace

Throughout Easter, starting 1st April

A brand new attraction at the Sea Life Centre, Brindleyplace is opening in spring 2018 and we couldn’t be more excited to tell you about it. The Piranha Tunnel will give visitors the chance to get face to face with a pack of these unusual predators amidst a tropical rainforest. But wait - there’s more! New for Easter 2018, will be Jelly Invaders – giving guests the opportunity to dive in to a world of slime, stingers, and brainless jelly in a brand new exhibit. Lucky for you, the Sea Life Centre is located only a three-minute walk away from our SACO Birmingham – Brindleyplace apartments.


Fast & Furious Live – Arena Birmingham

April 20th to 22nd

The Fast and Furious team are promising exciting new gravity defying stunts and outrageous, precise performance driving. The adrenaline-fueled, two-hour show uses 3D projection mapping to traverse the globe and transport fans into this immersive extension of the Fast & Furious movies.


B-SIDE Hip-Hop Festival – Birmingham Hippodrome and Hurst Street

May 11th - 13th

This free festival is returning for its third year to celebrate all things hip-hop. There will be a weekend takeover of dance and rap battles, live music, workshops and graffiti in the streets around the theatre. Get your dancing shoes on!


Dippy the Dinosaur – Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery

May 26th - September 9th

The Natural History Museum’s famous Diplodocus, known as Dippy, is taking a road trip and you’ll be able to see him for free in Birmingham. Make sure to not miss out on this special occasion and purchase your ticket in advance as this event is likely to be a very popular exhibition. The full skeleton is an impressive 21.3 metres long, 4.3 metres wide and 4.25 metres high. There is also an opportunity to Dine with Dippy at a shared dinner party on June 7th and 14th.


Birmingham Pride – Hurst Street

May 26th – 27th

Tickets are now on sale for Birmingham Pride 2018. The line-up has not yet been announced but there will be a carnival parade, street party, dance arena, cabaret and lots of big name acts on the main stage. We certainly can’t wait!
