HOME
HOME is a great space for letting creative ideas flow. There’s a café bar and bookshop, as well as gallery and visual arts areas. You can meet up with clients or get on with your own tasks in this inspiring location.
Often referred to as Manchester’s centre for international art, theatre and film, HOME establishes a space for business professionals to innovate, discover and create. Danny Boyle led the opening weekend for the centre in May 2015, crowning it Manchester’s new native for theatre, film and visual arts. There is an impressive array of things to do at HOME, from cinematic events at the box office to grabbing a bite to eat or an after-work drink at one of the three dining spaces – the Ground Floor Bar, First Floor Restaurant and Cinema Bar and Roof Terrace.
Located between Oxford Road Train Station and Deansgate Train Station, HOME is very easy to get to – you can travel here by bus, bike, train, taxi, and tram or even hop on the free Metroshuttle bus from Piccadilly or Victoria train station. If you choose to drive, there’s a car park next door to the centre which offers a 25% discount to HOME visitors.
HOME also offers a unique combination of high quality meeting spaces and venues, making it a highly sought after creative choice for a wide range of events. Venues you could hire include: five cinema spaces, two theatre spaces, a contemporary function room, outdoor terrace and a gallery space – you’ll be spoilt for choice! Ticket prices for entry varies between each area of the centre and also changes depending on peak times; however the exhibitions are completely free.
Loved trying HOME for food. I ordered the good old Fish and Chips which was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked. The staff were diligent and friendly. A great place to visit, especially before the theatre if you're going, or even for a drink after a long day at work!
